A conversation with John A. Kantara & the Black German Heritage and Research Association @ Davidson College, NC, USA

The Black German Heritage and Research Association [BGHRA] documents and supports the activities of Black Germans internationally, and promotes scholarship relating to the historic and contemporary presence of Black people in Germany and Black Germans in the United States. In partnership with interested scholars, institutions and organizations, BGHRA advocates for the interdisciplinary inclusion of Black German history, life experience, and contemporary culture in education, and encourages bilateral exchange opportunities.

Invited by BGHRA President Prof. Dr. Rosemarie Peña, UBC Vancouver and Dr. Emily Frazier-Rath, Davidson College, Davidson, NC, I spoke with Dr. Sonya Donaldson, New Jersey City University on my career in journalism, BLM and growing up in Germany being black.

From February, 17th to 20th 2022 the Black German Heritage & Research Association and Africana Studies at Rutgers University-Camden are pleased to invite you celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of the BGHRA at its Fifth International Conference.
